Since 1964, the Humanitarian Awards Celebration has honored one or more individuals who have demonstrated a significant commitment to building inclusive communities. It is a night of fun, food and fellowship like no other experience in the Natural State!

Format

  • Attire: Dress to celebrate your identity and the diversity in our community. Formal dress not required.
  • Food: Self-service food stations with heavy hors d'oeuvres, appetizers and desserts. Stations open at 6pm and close at 7:15pm for program.
  • Beverages: Beer, Wine and Assorted Non-Alcoholic Beverages by the glass. Bar opens at 6pm and closes at 7:15pm for program. Wine by the bottle and water at tables during program from 7:15pm to 9:00pm.
  • Program: Awards Presentation from 7:15pm-9:00pm. Includes presentation by JCA Youth Interns, introductions of Awardees and Awardee acceptance speeches.

*Due to extenuating circumstances, the honoree is unable to attend the 6/20 event personally but will be represented in-person by a surrogate chosen by the honoree. Also, a pre-recorded video acceptance speech by the honoree will be part of the event's program.
